My best friend did this, i saw the whole creation of this masterpiece. In my honest opinion (without pushing him because he is my friend) this is actually god-tier. He's the best artist when it comes to drawing imo. I quote his text: A surrealistic depiction of the night - as it is personified as the "sleeping queen" in the center of my illustration. Everything started in July, when I drew a rough sketch because I was bored in class. A few months and some sessions of digital and analogue work later, I created this piece. In the beginning, I really didn't know what it would be, and just kept refining it, until I was completely satisfied. I made pencil sketch, scanned it and added the black space-sky in the background, as well as some color correction. After that, I printed it, and made all the small dots by hand with a pilot Pen. Finally, I scanned it again, in order to add the finishing touch.

The title really came to me a few minutes after I finished it. It just made a lot of sense, due to the dark sky with stars, the burning candles, the hourglass and the face of a sleeping woman in it."
