This is a great initiative but it might not change that much in the end. I have joined 3 discord servers:sun knights,diep colony and the diep discord. Most active players who are also on discord are probably member of 2 or more diep discord servers already.

Sun knights is the most active diep server when it comes to talking about the game and posting screenshots and it also seems to have the most people online. so that is where I mostly talk as well. I do like both diep colony and diep discord better then the sun knight server but the lack of activity on those servers is kinda pusing me away from posting screenshots and talking there. Diep colony is the best server imo but it has only a small amount of active people which makes the server not so attractive to post and chat on. Sun knights has the big issue of having almost no server links and when there are links they are often for servers that almost no one does play on (asia or west us). It would be nice to unify all the people on one server,there are little enough active posters as it is and to have them spread out across several servers only makes the "problem" worse. I would be fine with it if diep discord would be that server but to accomplish that it has to be an attractive server for all sorts of players. It does have some very good points (like there is always a good server link available which I think is pretty important) but it also has a few weak points like low activity in general which makes it a bit less attractive in the end then a higher activity server like sun knights.

The different servers do give more people the option to feel good about themselves and their game play I think,which in the end probably is a good thing. When all the good and decent players are on one server and its always the same few people posting high score pictures or talk about the game it might push some other people away. I don't know,i do hope all servers would unite it would be good for the game but I can see and understand that some players also prefer their own micro cosmos server.
