The Difference between LZ and PvE DZ ... an old, crusty Irishman's perspective

totally agree. looks like those people want to make this game the same as others where each PVP starts at a well-defined fair starting point on both ends. So, when you play it you can safely expect everyone to follow the same rules (no ganking). As much as I don't like ganking as that's not how I play any game, the reason I liked the game was the feeling that you might get ganked if you go solo and even if you don't you already have to watch out for any PVPers so you already feel anxious and uneasy while in DZ. On top on that, the feeling of getting out of it from one of the checkpoints is extremely satisfying after surviving a few PVP battles. "You're in 'PVP mode' Hey, the player is asking for PVP with you. Do you accept the challenge?" type of experience in DZ is kind of lame imho. Yes ganking sucks. Yes baiting is stupid. But you can still choose to ignore them by going to a different area of the DZ. Having all said that, I wouldn't hate the idea of making something like an arena which is a separate and isolated PVP mode where you do have that experience where you know who's your enemy whether you want to do it or not before the battle starts. I wouldn't play it very often though...
