Diminishing returns is the reality for any hobby.

While I agree that there’s no such thing as the perfect headphone for everyone, as we all have our individual tastes, I’d disagree about better headphones not justifying their price points.

Sure, there are diminishing returns, but for some people that extra 10%-20% of quality is worth spending 10x or 20x as much. Everyone has their own limits that they’re comfortable with, and just as some people are completely happy with $15 AYAC Sushi while others are happy to spend $100 at a high end place some people can be completely satisfied with $159 headphones while others don’t feel they’ve hit their ultimate experience until they’re in that $4,000 or above range. At least with headphones a pair will last practically forever if you take care of them.
