Disabled = Can't Walk

my mom has MS and she’s dealt with the same thing. before she had me, she had lost all of her motor skills and was in a state of paralysis for a little over 5 years. it took years of really grueling physical therapy and visits to specialists before she regained her motor skills and went into remission.

she’s dealt with so many people dismissing her disability and i’ve seen the toll it’s taken on her. it’s really sad, people don’t know how scary it was for her to be trapped in her own body for that long. it breaks my heart when she talks about how scared she was. unfortunately, her MS has come out of remission over the last year and a half so it’s been hard watching her struggle again. i’m sending lots and lots of love to your aunt!!! no one deserves to feel that way.
