I disagree with destiny's stance that violence is a completely unacceptable form of dealing with political disagreement, and I am going to use this thread to articulate the reasons why

I'm sorry, but this is ignorance.

we have a President who pressures private organizations to fire individuals for protesting our country's government, and a vice president who, along with wanting gays to undergo shock therapy (not really relevant but it's a nice bonus meme I figured I'd throw in there), would likely go much further in ensuring his position of power. do you know who Recep Tayyip Erdogan is? he's a current ally and friend of donald trump, and the current "president" of turkey. do yourself a favor and google exactly what turkey, as a nation, is having to deal with right now.

what do you think happens when over 1/3rd of our country is willing to show unconditional support to a leader? donald trump said it himself, he could literally shoot someone on live tv and lose almost none of his supporters. do you think this shit just fizzles out? maybe, but the idea that some form of "civil war" isn't even remotely possible within the next 50 years is one I've yet to hear an intelligent person tell me.
