t's one thing if it was making commentary about Japanese/Korean issues in Korean context, but sadly the novel doesn't attempt anything beyond the author's outright delusional romanticism that paints Japan as wanting to conquer Korea again while Korea is smashing them via the power of one man.

Despite the use of real life nations, the novel fails to address any real life issues that the nations are facing and in fact seems to contradict reality in some instances like having more diverse guilds in Korea compared to Japan when in reality, their equivalent, conglomerates(chaebol) have completed choked out all competition in Korea to the point they account for about 80% of the GDP.
