[DISC] Taming Master (Ch. 34)

I think the game balance design shown so far isn't that bad, especially when compared to pretty much all other vrmmorpg manga. To me it seems like the author is mostly basing abilities around how they work in world of warcraft. Especially Hunter and Warlock abilities, and now Rogue abilities. I think so far there's been one 30 minute cooldown and the rest are 2-10 minutes. With the cooldowns themselves being things like increased crit chance/crit damage. The CC (from the ice golem) being an AoE 50% damage/30% speed reduction, or a defensive which mitigates/blocks damage. That's all pretty standard WoW stuff. The wolf's dot does an extra 20% damage over ten seconds when he crits (although I'm not sure if additional crits refresh the dot, it doesn't seem to stack though), whereas the Assassin's dot isn't quite the same (although it still did roughly 20% additional damage of the hit which procced it, mitigated by the MC healing himself). The assassin landed crits several times but only the last one inflicted bleed (so all of his attacks probably have a low chance of inflicting bleed). In contrast, it seems like the assassin's abilities all have multistrike type damage (as in all his attacks have a "shadow" which can hit an additional time), and he has high mobility and "Vanish" as a defensive cooldown.

It's been said a few times that the main character is playing summoner in a way that is probably unintended (in that he gets involved in melee combat more than other summoners), and he's particularly good at utilizing all of his abilities. The main unbelievable part of the game is that pets all have different stats/abilities and you can farm up stronger/rare ones that can evolve, with the MC being the only person who has figured that out so far. However, they have attempted to explain that as the class being new/difficult to level so not many people trying (and data mining seemingly not existing).
