[Discuss] People who want or have luxury watches, do you want or have other luxury goods?

If you make it difficult, sure, but instead of getting lost in epistemology, we can just agree that we generally know what luxury is when we see it, and we can generalize it by saying "almost any watch over $1000".

Is a Rolex luxury? What about a Longines? G-Shock? Seiko?

Those are companies and brands, not watches.

It is a particular perspective to consider only the brand when considering luxury.

Many Western companies do present themselves as luxury only, such as Rolex, but Seiko makes watches that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Casio doesn't do a lot in luxury, but they make some.

Where is the Luxury cut off?

$1000 as a general rule for watches.

Don't be silly. Of course there are tiers of luxury. Just because a $50000 watch is not luxury to someone who hands billions of dollars, doesn't mean we have to get lost in relativity.

We just have to consider the watch market as it exists.

. But to someone holding a Bic, a folding utility blade from Wal-mart and a Timex I bet OPs stuff looks luxury to them

Certainly, but there is a huge jump when you get into the luxury marketed goods.

You can easily see it by looking at what is available, instead of getting lost in sophistry.
