The Mighty Plug and Micro are definite improvements over the Vox Amplug both in terms of sound and options, so you may want to check out a few videos - they work well as travel options
Tony Lee Glenn has a small channel where he demos various inexpensive guitars and amps. He has 3-5 videos about the Mustang including this one showing the first 15 presets
I bought a Mustang last year and really like it - It's small, light, and the video display is really useful, especially the tuner. It's a perfect first amp/ bedroom amp. It has a headphone jack and an Aux input so you can practice silently. It gets loud but not "call the cops" loud.
It sounds pretty good overall though some presets are a bit digital sounding
The Tone App is great - you can change preset settings and it has a beautiful visual interface that's simple for beginners.
The only major con is no bluetooth - you need a laptop or desktop to change the settings.
