Discussion: 2022 French Open (Saturday, May 28, 2022)

My predictions for tomorrow:

Djokovic d. Schwartzman in 4 (Djokovic is reaching his best level now and he has a perfect record against Diego who can't beat someone who is a way better version of himself)

Zverev d. Zapata Miralles in 4 (Good run by Zapata but it ends here. Zverev will find a way to lose 1 set as usual in matches like this)

Nadal d. Auger-Aliassime in 3 (Nadal is too smart for a player like FAA who is a bit brainless, no matter how good his form is)

Alcaraz d. Khachanov in 4 (I think Khachanov will peak for a set but won't be able to sustain that level and Carlos will play a good match as usual)

Sasnovich d. Trevisan in 3 (Sasnovich played like peak Federer in the Raducanu match then beat Kerber in 2. Trevisan is in great form but Sasnovich is the better player and will stop Trevisan's run here)

Anisimova d. Fernandez in 2 (Anisimova is in great form on clay, a surface that is not that good for Leylah and Amanda already faced a tricky player last round and survived, she will break Fernandez many times)

Mertens d. Gauff in 3 (Both players can be a wall on slow clay, which not bodes well for Coco who relies on players hitting UEs on this surface. Mertens is in very good form this week and is more experienced)

Teichmann d. Stephens in 2 (Sloane was also looking good in RG last year until the Krejcikova match. I think this is the same scenario. Teichmann is in great form right now on clay and she played one of the best matches of the tournament last round against Azarenka. Quality stuff.)
