Discussion about inexperienced riders clearly hitting things they’re not ready for…

Yes, I have a vested interest in helping people improve technique both in person and on reddit. And it is a cultural problem in MTBing. Something that I didn't experience in all my years riding BMX and skateboarding.

And I'm not implying that YOU have to help people. You may not even be in a position to do so. I can't really help people with rock gardens or cornering. I'm not an expert in those things.

But MTBing has a big problem with 'send it' culture and it also defends that culture. It's unfortunately toxic and leads to a lot of injuries (gestures vaguely at the subreddit posts, particularly in comparison to practically every other action sport subreddit, which i also follow)
