I mean deathcore is pretty shit if you're looking for intelligent music, but so is actual metal. Hardcore has never been intelligent so it makes sense.

Really though, the only music with stuff to offer is classical and a smattering of jazz, even the most intelligent metal stuff like Blut aus Nord doesn't really compare to the genius of people like Schoenberg or Sibelius.

I mean looking at deathcore other than IA I can't name a single band with actual interesting instrumentation. Rings of Saturn are just hilariously shit. Most others like Shrine of Malice or Signs of the Swarm or whoever are equally bad, just terrible riffs going into chugs.

It's like if the only metal scene was fucking wiffle thrash mid 2k revival shit.
