[Discussion] Destiny 2. Should we leave behind Xbox 360 and PS3?

We're looking at a 2 DLC's guranteed for Destiny and a potential Destiny 1.5 in the form of Comet. If we assume that the other 2 rumored DLC's will also be geared towards Destiny than I feel that, despite Destiny's lack of story and content that will be fleshed out with the DLC and provide enough for the last generation.

Personally, I kind of wish Sony had let Microsoft have the head start and stuck with their PS3 10 year ideal that they had when it launched and not launched the PS4 until this year. I'm not sure but I certainly hope that the extra two years would have seen an actual "next gen" console instead of what we currently have from both companies.

This would have solved this question, at least in regards to Sony users, since the PS4 would be a more obvious jump for users who got a taste of Destiny on the PS3 and wanted the full experience.

As it stands, Yes! Of course! If it is true that the Cosmodrome and other areas were meant to be larger and scaled back because of the 360 and PS3 then we have evidence that Destiny is already not what it could have been and making room for the others just isn't fair to those that have upgraded or the developers who want the game to have more.

Now, as we all know, the story is pathetic. The amount of knowledge that is willfully kept from being learned in game and instead you have to access via the Grimoire is just about the worst thing any game could possibly implement. The story seems to be there but the execution is not and if focusing Destiny 2 on just the Xbone and PS4 helps in event he slightest manner then the 360 and PS3 need to be abandoned.

I don't just want more missions against the minions of the darkness. There are clues that there is a hidden cult, possibly of just hunters, that hate the traveler. The FWC, Dead Orbit, and New Monarchy all seem as if they should have their own agendas. There are so many aspects of not-the-darkenss that seem compelling and I want to know WTF is up with them and NO, I do not want to find the answers in the fucking grimore. Oh, I'll grind out to get a full Grimoire but I sure as shit ain't going to read it.

It's an achievement and nothing else. If I get even 10% more story by dropping the last gen-ers then so be it.
