[DISCUSSION] I feel like I have opposite script conflicts.

Do you know what a plot chart looks like? It has highs and lows. The climax and inciting incident are basically your main exciting points. Maybe rising action. You can't be on the rise throughout the whole entire story because that's not how a plot works. Yes everything has a purpose but it's not all exciting.

Between plot diagrams and the way your acts should be broken up into 3 (30, 60, 30 for first drafts) it just makes it hard to write them long enough. Your first 30 pages should be an intro with your inciting incident at the end. Your rising action and climax should be in the next 60 pages, and your falling action and conclusion in the last 30 pages.

I was an English major and now I work in film. I know what I'm doing haha.
