[Discussion] A few thoughts on BART and a trend towards 100% chance of observing terrible behavior

I'm curious what city you think is going to take them? Lol. Maybe Modesto? I think SF would be glad to round up the homeless and bus them out of town.

I'd like to clarify that SF has an annual budget to help the homeless of $241,000,000. That's the biggest in the US and almost as much as NY and LA combined. It provides permanent housing for 9,000 otherwise homeless folks with $100,000,000 left over to help the remaining 6,800 - I'm not sure what percent but many of them have refused help.

I don't know what the solution is but I know the experts are in agreement that it's a tough problem. I don't think, "treat them like humans", "fix the US health care system for the mentally ill", and, "bus them out of town", are really legit suggestions.

I think I'm just being a dick right now though, I hear things like, "we should fix the homeless problem", and I just want to point out that lots of very smart, very caring people with massive budgets are trying their hardest on it. It's not just a snap of the fingers and some busses out of town and we're done.
