[Discussion] Lyrical clichees and overused rhymes

Oh my god, it's my time to shine!

I'm sick of songs that use "fly" or "flying" or any similes related to "flying" like "soar". I get that flight is something that humans have fundamentally desired for millennia, but it's such a tired songwriting trope. You can Fly like Sugar Ray or Nicki Minaj or Maddie & Tae or Hopsin; Frank Sinatra just wants to Fly Me to the Moon; Lenny Kravitz just wants to Fly Away... even RuPaul wants to "Fly Fly Fly" in Sissy That Walk - it's ridiculous.

Any song entitled "tonight". There's Tonight by John Legend, Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Punpkins; another song called Tonight Tonight by a bunch of nobodies called Hot Chelle Rae; Jennifer Lopes is Waiting for Tonight; Save Tonight by Eagle-Eye Cherry; and that song by fun. with a chorus that goes "Toniiiight..." over and over.

I'm sure there are more songs that use those clichés, but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment.
