well its more about having arguments of precaution ready since it went viral at launch. Because would they make more money? They definitely would! I remember seeing many campaigns stating the dangers of playing pokemon go during the first months of pokemon go. Cutting down raid times makes it easier to find other players. If i could raid during nighttime i‘d most likely prefer it to daytime raiding.

Playing at night can be fun but it also brings dangers. You can be robbed really easily in the parks. Crowded places may not be as dangerous but imagine groups of ‚young’ people standing around gyms during nighttimes. Our german police would definitely ask every group what they were up to.
