[Discussion] Overseas NFL fan here : Draft by Value or Need? I think Need.

Value is essentially the "best player available" or BPA idea/strategy. Some people live by it, they are wrong.

BPA, for example, is how indy ended up with wr Dorsette rd1 despite having one of the deeper wr rooms in the entire league(nobody knew johnson was completely done, at least they didnt with the contract they gave him)
Bottom barrel O lines for multiple years? more WR than you can use? Better draft that wr because he's the top ranked guy right? . . . right guys?

You would think this shit would be common sense. Like, for example, the eagles don't need to spend a rd1 on a qb as they have a good one. If you subscribe to BPA, which some fans/coaches/gms/owners blindly do, that could end up being the case. It's stupid. The phrase, talking points, and use of it need to die.
