[Discussion] People who learned a skill, craft, trade, or language later in life: What are your success stories?

Worked in a call center for five years, we used Salesforce for most of the customer interactions for one of the cable companies. I ended up becoming pretty proficient as a user and an analyst f the software.

I left there, to move onto another support center supporting enterprise software. They also used Salesforce, but it was their MDM platform. After using the software for 8 years I decided to try to make a career out of it in my early 30s.

Studied my ass off, not only on the platform, but cloud technologies in general. Went out and received a handful of certs, was promoted a year later to sys admin.

Couple years later, and many interviews with many companies later, I now work for one of the tech giants working on one of their Salesforce instances.

Morale of the story, it's never too late to show a passion for something and make a career out of it.
