Tbh I would agree with you, but I think it falls apart even earlier.

Only the first study was sex specific, though multiple articles OP links to go back to the one study. The rest said both males and females with bullying/ADHD traits had more partners, so it doesn't exactly lend to women like assholes and men are above that narrative.

In that one study about narcissists getting more sex we're looking at a self report study. We can only assume the data is accurate if we can rely on the narcissistic men to be honest and not try to inflate their numbers for their own egos... I'm sorry but I don't buy that.

So if we can in fact assume all (or even some) of the data is correct, than you'd be right that the purpose of manipulation isn't taken into account. It just doesn't quite get that far while still being believable.
