[Discussion] I should know? Just ordered my note 8 and it'll be here in one day. little nervous about moving from iPhone

Hey bud I just got rid of my iphone about 10 days ago. I grabbed an S8+(excellent device) and because I was in my 14d return policy opted for the Note 8. As a 5 year apple user allow me the chance to explain what you're in for.

1) You're going to freak out for a few days over the loss of "Imessage". THAT BEING SAID a revalation will dawn on you. It was the only thing keeping you on the platform(Unless you can justify it with an apple ecosystem). You'll still get texts from your friends and you'll get a bunch of "dirty green bubble" jokes from these people for about a week. After you adjust you'll realize texting is still a thing on android

2) If you're like me you'll feel a bit betrayed. Myself, and many others I assume, switched over to apple when android was still in it's infancy. Were talking bad apps, janky interface and a play store that i'm pretty sure you could buy drugs on. This image is something apple has used to keep its users roped in.

It couldn't be further from the truth. The play store is incredibly clean, well thought out and tailored for specific wants and interests. It even has editors pics now. The apps, while not QUITE as polished still work remarkably well and recieve updates almost daily. I believe google is about to make some big moves in the market and may start investing a lot more in app development.

3) You're gonna be amazed at the build quality and care put into the design of these devices. I've literally been unable to put mine down. No more shitty aluminum bodies with paint that peels and chips off. They run great and samsung has laid off the touch wiz to give a more vanilla android expeirience. They know a lot of people are beginning to migrate over as many are displeased with apple's offerings.

4) You're now in style. Yes you heard me. You're essentially a tech hipster. Apple's image has become stale and overused. Expect to get a lot of people asking questions. They'll probably want to see the device as well as it is beautiful and cries out to be held.

5) Expect a lot of shade thrown at you. I literally had a guy, as I was buying the device, look over my shoulder and start listing off reasons why apple would be a better purchase.. one of those being that they're about to be the first phone with facial recognition
