Trump:

  • Very racist, anti-immigrant, and Islamophobic

  • Authoritarian and dislikes the press and free speech

  • Doesn't care much about gay people, probably too lazy to care and/or jerks off to lesbian porn and doesn't want it banned

  • Very ineffective at putting legislation based off of his views into effect

  • Very poor public speaker and unpopular, decent chance of losing in 2020

  • Shit on economic issues

  • Doesn't do much on reproductive issues, basically pro-life in name only.

Pence:

  • Most likely also pretty shitty on race and immigration, but less extreme so he won't provoke much outcry.

  • More tolerant of dissent, but will probably step up voter suppression and pack the Supreme Court to implement his policy positions.

  • Passed legislation which discriminated very hard against LGBT+ people when he was Governor of Indiana, will probably try to get the decision legalizing gay marriage repealed and if he can't do that he'll still fuck them over any way he can.

  • Decently competent legislator when Governor, will be much more effective at imposing his rule than Trump.

  • Decent public speaker, would be far more likely to get reelected and possibly even make a Republican victory in 2024 likely.

  • Less shitty on economic issues but would likely succeed in shutting down far more social programs than Trump.

  • Would probably try to get Roe v Wade repealed by packing the Supreme Court and would be very shitty on sex ed, access to contraceptives, ect.

We need to stop pretending that Trump is the only problem in all of this and everything would go back to normal if he was impeached, hell if he was gone this whole thing might not affect Pence's approval because everyone will think that he wasn't involved since he stayed in office.
