problem of evil. go.

Not starting easy, are we?

Two books I'd recommend on this are CS Lewis's works, The Problem of Pain and A Grief Observed. The former is a highly cerebral, abstract take on pain, and it largely fails in its goals. The latter was written by Lewis following the death of his wife; it is raw, visceral, and succeeds in its objects to a much greater extent.

It is a horrifying and morbid thought, but I don't think I'll be able to personally properly address the problem of pain until the death of my father. He is in great health now, thank God, but one day that will change.
