I fucking hate when anime just cops out on tough concepts.

Claymore implies that the Claymores have horrifically deformed bodies, since a bunch of hardened rapist brigands take one look at Teresa naked and nope the fuck out. It's a neat and mysterious and works well thematically and shit.

Then in a late chapter we actually get to see one naked "freshly born" so to speak, where it turns out they come out of the process with a permanent open incision from taint to chest that needs to be held closed. While it definitely is a tiny bit harrowing when her belly splits open and all her guts start falling out, we're meant to believe that what is ultimately drawn as a clean line of big frankenstein stitches is what had guys throwing up and losing their faith in god.

Come on if you can't just take the opportunity to show the audience a naked lady without the massive turn-off that we've been told the whole time is going to be there.
