"just homebrew it lol" has the same energy as telling someone to "just mod the game lol", but honestly from my perspective it's honestly sucks more because at least with Bethesda games you get a mechanical and technical base to start from even if you start radically changing what can be done within the technical limits of that era of Creation engine

With homebrewing it's basically saying to the DM 'just make your own mechanics' which already adds a lot onto the DM's already full plate. Add on to it is that sometimes even a fluff base can be lacking in recent modules and that just sucks

It doesn't help there seems to be a horde of fanboys whom are often communists running defense for WOTC over honestly pretty rough treatment of 5e dms talking about rule 0 and shit
