There's so much shit behind it, but yeah combine how generally difficult it is for prisoners to reintegrate and add this kind of stuff on top of it.

But in a debate a parent saying "I have the right to know who my neighbor is for the safety of my kid" or a woman saying "As a woman, X happened to me, why shouldn't I try to protect others from the same man?", like, you're losing that debate every time. You're just grabbing third rails everywhere for no reason.

It's probably gonna take some deeply unhinged Republican who tried to meet up with a 13 year old, did time, got on a registry, and has now discovered a political position out of that for it to even come up as an issue lol. But even then people just shoot it down immediately when they realize who's coming up with this idea.
