Oh man y'all see that thread about the protests about CEU in Budapest on /r/worldnews? The amount of "(((Soros))) destabalized nations!" is too damn high. Just because Malaysia decided instead of owning up to its own mistakes that it could blame foreign boogeymen and some good ol' fashioned anti-semitic conspiracies. Singapore also went through a recession in 1997 and came out fine much quicker because its government wasn't full of incompetents. Same thing with England in 1992, apparently Soros single-handedley manipulated currencies enough to bring down entire countries. Perfect quote from a user in there:

This is an intersting description of trading against weak currencies. If the countries didn't want people trading against them, they should have kept their currencies and finances strong. Countries would do better to remember the devaluations as cautionary tales rather than try to stir up anger against foreign boogeymen.

Honestly wtf is up with /r/worldnews? It is full of insane reactionaries and conspiracy theories that put the "Trump is a literal Russian puppet even when doing things Russia doesn't like, false flag Syria" from /r/politics to shame.
