I may come off as way too much of a conglomerate shill.

Something that a lot of people aren't familiar with is that companies like LG and Samsung are conglomerates. LG Group does not just own a tech company(LG Electronics), but it owns many different subs in many different kinds of business.

Samsung used to have a car line, still sells things like insurance, has a securities (IB) firm, used to dabble in defense tech, and provides credit cards. Oh, they operate hospitals (easy to see in Korea) and heavily sponsor a major university as well (I'm not sure if they still do). There is much more but you get the idea.

LG Care bought up a company that was merged from other smaller companies that specialized in distributing Coke in Korea. So rather, distributing Coke is in line with LG Care's business because LG Care is a heavy distributor of various drinks including OJ and whatnot. Oh LG Care also sells things like toothpaste and has a cosmetics line.

It's not just to (((stifle))) competition, it's also diversifying. In a way, they have become too big to fail, which I don't like as a Korean, but I also acknowledge they are very important to the economy.
