Discussion Thread: Fourth Democratic Presidential Debate | Post-Debate Thread

Yang got to show a wider range of his positions, and did it pretty well. The major networks all listed him in the winner column, which is quite a shift from previous post-debate reviews.

Buttigieg had a couple of pretty intense exchanges, and probably gained ground. Beto caught the rough end of one. Tulsi was in the other, with mixed reviews. I thought she handled it pretty well, as did some media organizations. Others said she lost it. Wasn't a top of her game performance for her, imo. She didn't seem as energized as she's capable of.

Biden made several mistakes, and attempted to take credit for other people's policies, and got called out on it. Not such a good night for him. Also post-debate media consensus on this.

Warren did pretty well, and defined herself more.

Lot of media saying Kloubacher did well. I was luke warm on her going in and ice cold going out. So, for me at least, it was a pretty bad outing.

Castro did alright, but not spectacularly. Most of the others were similarly non-noteworthy.

Steyer started surprisingly well, made a good first impression. He had a really bad second half, and possibly crippled his campaign, showing bad instincts on which stories to tell and when.

Overall the mood was relatively cooperative, and generally seemed to show a convergence of positions and a general sense of team solidarity, which was refreshing. Not a lot of bloodsport this time around.

Major debate topics: Automation and economy, Syria, Health Care, Gun Control, Trump Impeachment, Women's Reproductive Care.
