[discussion] (/vent) sick and tired of tiny dogs geting away with wildly inappropriate behavior that'd get a big dog in serious trouble.

This really bothers me as well! I will say though I rescued a small dog a few months ago and he came with a lot of these issues. I’m guessing whoever owned him previously didn’t socialize him and let him get away with a lot of bad behaviors. He’s on medication and we’re working with a trainer and he’s made a lot of progress, but there are still days when his anxiety is bad and he does something like bark at a stranger or growl despite my best efforts at desensitizing him to new people. This doesn’t apply to the story with your neighbors dog of course, but remember that small dogs can be reactive too and their owners may be managing it the best they can.
