[Discussion] What are your initial thoughts about the group since debut?

My thoughts on the members:

Sowon: She gives off Sooyoung x Suzy vibes and is so tall compared to the others! She seems like the dorkiest out of all of them, yet is capable of being a leader from what I've seen in interviews so far. I could totally see her pursuing acting in the future.

Yerin: Initially I was a bit distracted by her nose (I think it might be PS), but those days are over now and I think she's absolutely adorable. That eye smile is to die for and I love how she's flashing it during every opportunity. Her MCing isn't too shabby for someone from a freshly-debuted group as well.

Eunha: In my opinion she is definitely the most photogenic out of all of them, she was the first to catch my eye in all the teasers. She does seem the most reserved and is a bit awkward, but I think it's part of her charm haha. She seems to be a runner-up for the second best vocals in the group with SinB as well, I would love to hear more of her.

Yuju: She has some Mamamoo-tier vocals and it's sick. I've been blown away from all her covers and high notes in Season of Glass. The members nicknamed her "grandma" and I can totally see that, she gives off an ahjumma vibe and it's so cute. I'm biased af. she looks hella creepy in the Glass Bead M/V though

SinB: Ahh yes... everybody seem to have to mention how much she looks like Jessica whenever SinB comes up. Although it's great for publicity, I really hope it dies down in the future because no one would want to be exclusively known for looking like someone else forever. Other than that, I think her chicness/straightforwardness is really charming, as well as her talking voice; it's so different from her singing voice!

Umji: For a maknae, she seems more open and easygoing compared to other groups'. Her vocals aren't too shabby as well, I'm looking forward to hearing more of her in the future. It's really unfortunate that people have been bagging on her for not being "Korean pretty", I think the fact that she doesn't is great and will make more people open-minded to it.

My thoughts on debut and promotional tactics;

Whether it's social media or Source Music themselves, I think they're doing a phenomenal job of promoting the girls. They've been on a handful of radio and variety shows already and Glass Bead has over a million views already! While I personally don't like the promotional track that much, the SNSD-similarities was a smart idea in getting people to talk about them.

Other thoughts;

As for the future, I have not seen enough of them to make any good potential concept ideas they could fit in. I think they're past the point of falling into potential nugudom and on their way to becoming maybe BESTie-popularity this year? As for other thoughts:

  • they looked really creepy in the Glass Bead teasers and those are not an accurate representation of them at all

  • they've expressed more than once of their admiration for Zion.T and Crush (which are my favorite artists atm) so maybe a collab in the future?please
