Since this post is about showing a movie on a publicly accessed Saudi channel, let me Just make it clearer. This is absolutely mundane. We had a cinema ban, yes, but it wasn't a ban on movies. We got to watch all movies for free on TV. For newer, uncensored stuff, we had to have cable TV, but it was still acceptable. Also, pay-per-view screened movies usually halfway through their box office run.

We usually adapt around our stupid government decisions.

For reference, these are all Saudi, or majority owned Saudi networks, 1, 2, 3, 4, not to mention this which is somewhat related.
