People are screaming soulless corporate but there is an actual reason for raising the prices so much as of late: Disney is overcrowded. There's only so much park space available, so many attractions, and it's face to ass all day every day in that place. Know why they are raising prices? It's not solely because of profit margins. Disney wants LESS people per day in the park. Yes, this is going to price people out. That's the ultimate goal.

I volunteer regularly for community projects at Disney like the FNGLA etc, I walk around the park for free. I can't ride anything, mind you, but I can walk around. On the shittiest day in Florida at the shittiest hour at Disney you can't walk a meter without slowing down to keep from crashing into eighteen people. That's what's happening with the prices, and it's not likely to stop any time soon.
