[Disscussion] JNR after timeskip

I don't see how one could think that Yang's reliance on her Semblance is completely invented. Every single time Yang wins a fight it's because of her Semblance which could literally be named heroic comeback. Plus it's been confirmed by the creators that this is a big deal since V1. If you don't see it. That's not a mistake. It's ignorance. It's like saying Weiss is strong without her glyphs. Or that Ren needs his guns to kick ass. And I'm personally was satisfied with Mercury's behavior on that fight. He let her win and kept that smug smile the whole time. Trying to show any development in his character at the time would be out of place. He already had his development. He doesn't need to change and I don't see any reason why he should.

Yang's behavior was hot headedness. A lot of people give Yang for granted as an overprotective person but that's exactly the opposite of what she is. Even Barbara said so. Yang is someone who would teach a person how to swim by pushing them into the water. That wasn't Yang being protective of Blake. It was her not thinking things through before launching herself at full strength. Plus come on. If being protective was Yang's mistake then everyone doesn't stand a chance against Adam because everyone would have reacted the same if they saw someone stab Blake. The would want to protect her. Only that someone like Ruby or Jaune would first think of a plan to take down the enemy.

Now onto Jaune. You're totally right about those examples. Jaune doesn't depend on Pyrrha by choice. She's the one who doesn't let him go. I will change my phrase to suit it better: How 'bout Momma Pyrrha never letting go of Jaune's hand. It was always about Pyrrha leaning on Jaune and trying to fix his problems for him which in a way feeds her own ego.

But you can't not say that Jaune is horribly undeveloped. It's precisely because he got development in the previous Volumes as to why he was able to do something despite the little amount of relevance he had. If you put the mess that Jaune was back in V1 into V3 then the guy would mess up far too many times to the point it would be better for him to stay in the background.

I know you didn't like the show. But quite honestly given your points you should rephrase it as it's shit because a lot of your points take too many things for granted. Like if you think it should be ways better but you don't actually know how. You just assume it should be so.
