Divi License for freelancing

One of the last updates broke some things on my client's site. If you're looking to do a lot of custom work I'd avoid divi or even wordpress altogether. Massive PITA to do otherwise simple things. I'll be sticking to text file templates going forward. I can understand if your client absolutely needs a CMS, but if they're not tech savvy it's a bit like walking around in a China shop. I'd rather pick clients that need a static site and trust me to do a good job. They pay more too. Think industrial companies, as opposed to restaurants that are constantly changing menus etc.

To answer your question... yes. But additional templates cost money. So you're still paying or designing from scratch with the visual builder. I could have done it way faster with raw text, as a lot of things are not intuitive even though they seem easy at first glance.
