Fed is a bit past his best

I know everyone romanticizes federer, and hes had a bit of a resurgance, but if you go back 10 years and look at his matches, you can see hes way past his peak.

Nadal is looking good

compared to what? He just got trounced by nole. He might be the second best in the world right now, but compared to 2010 or 2013 he isnt nearly as good.

back to his best IMO

no. His peaks in 2011 and 2015 were unreal. He's good now, and not far off, but its recency bias to say he is at his best.

Not to mention serena on the women’s side

I think serena at her best would beat any womens player ever, but she is also not near the level she was at during her serena slams. Until recently the womens field was just very weak (which made for good parity and kept it exciting, but still), allowing her to roll over her less talented opponents.
