I wouldn't have said this a year ago, but Novak now deserves to be a legit contender in the GOAT debate. I know, some Novak fans already have him there at the top, but for those of us who are just general fans of the sport and enjoy all the players it was hard to see him in that conversation until now.

While he's still 6 slams behind Roger, to have completed the Golden Masters is a rare achievement, and what is amazing to ponder is that as someone here wrote recently, all he needs to do is win one more French Open and one more Cincinnati title, and he will possess both a double career Grand Slam AND a double Golden Masters. That is unfathomable, and if he does that, for me he has to move to the top of the GOAT list.
