DJS who use beatport - are Wav files better than Mp3 files? if so, why?

But what we’re talking about is the slightest difference, a difference in which unless someone just listened to the track moments prior on some hifi setup, is not going to be able to tell the difference over loud speakers in a moving and shaking nightclub. Will it sound terrible? probably not, but it won’t sound phenomenal either.

You doubters downvoting me need to go try it for yourselves over a club setup and then get back to me, I’ll be the person here saying I told you so. And for the record, this isn’t me encouraging anyone to go use shitty YouTube ripped mp3s, I’m just suggesting that depending on the context of playing, you really don’t need to spend that extra $ on beatport. Especially if we’re talking between 320 and WAV.
