So your post got me thinking about Vendrick, Velstadt, and our newest "V" name Sir Vilhelm. In case you didn't catch his name, he's the guy we fight in the small archive at the edge of the Corvian Settlement, Freide's protector.

I thought something about his name was weird, then I realized "Sir" isn't a title used in DS3 by anyone else- they're all Knight X, or X of Location Y. In fact, the only NPC's in the entire Souls series with "Sir" as their in-game title (via a wiki search of each game, so I might not be 100% correct) are all DS2 characters that served King Vendrick. Sir Syan, Sir Yorgh, Sir Alonne, Sir Fabian- and weirdly those last three were each important lore figures either referenced or fought in each of DS2's DLC areas, like Sir Vilhelm is in AoA.

Is it totally unrelated? Probably. But it's a weird little coincidence nonetheless, and I read a theory on here that "Uncle Gael" could possibly by Aldia, so you're definitely not the only one hoping DS2 and Aldia have a place in DS3 somewhere.
