we just said that even though dude was a bigot he wasn't a complete caveman and situation could had been handled far worse than it was.

Don't you realize you can appreciate some aspects of people wile still criticize them as a whole?

World is not black and white and just because you said that "I like what mr X said" doesn't mean that you are Mr X's sympathizer and that you agree with everything he said.

You are a better example of "how low can the bar get"

Mainly:

"How low can the bar get, when people are no longer allowed to agree with individual ideas without being labeled by society as evil, simply because the individual idea they agreed with came from a source that is not liked by majority of people."

Seriously, "If you agree with something X said then that means you like X as a whole" is a really toxic,

prejudiced mentality that is a real problem in our society.

I'm bi, I don't like the fact that DM refused to DM for not straight people, but I appreciate the fact that he simply said "I don't think I can go on being your DM" and even wishing people good luck finding a better suited DM instead of using slurs or straight up insult the players.

While I do not like the fact that he is homophobic, I must say that both sides seem to be equally as civilized and mature (even if DM's stance is considered by me as wrong) and situation was handled pretty well.
