This still makes zero sense. It's the freaking multiverse. Anyone can be a threat! They instantly dismiss Wanda as if there's just no way one of her variants could be dangerous. It's plot-mandated stupidity. The Illuminati need to be stupid weaklings just so that the plot can move on. The plot of MoM is a clumsy house of cards and thinking about it even for a second makes the whole thing collapse on itself.

They don't even need the Stones to defeat Wanda, tbh. Xavier could put her in a coma. Maria could speedblitz her. Black Bolt could've shouted from afar lmao anything would be better than them standing around like NPCs in a turn-based RPG.

I have no issue with seeing the Illuminati die. They're one of my least favorite teams. It's fine if they're humiliated and die. But make it interesting, that's all I ask for. They're not even the Illuminati, they're just random mannequins that exist just to get killed by Wanda's poorly defined and gimmicky powers, even though the Kamar-Taj fight already proved Wanda is a legitimate threat.
