Doctor Who 11x07 "Kerblam!" Post-Episode Discussion Thread

I didn't like the ending- having the corporation and the boss being the "good guy" felt a bit off, and I feel like a better story could have been told with them as the bad guys. With the constant repetition of "people-powered" throughout the episode I was sure it was going to turn out either that the factory was being powered by the missing people or that some of the robots were actually people. The actual twist at the end felt a bit uninteresting, at least from my perspective. At the start of the episode the Doctor really liked Kerblam ("it's the Kerblam man!") and I think it would have been nice to have that reversed. The whole thing seemed like its message was a bit confused; it started off looking like it was going to be about workers' rights (especially what I was expecting seeing as Kerblam was pretty much Amazon, who are famously bad to their warehouse workers), and in the end it seemed like it wanted me to be on the company's side.

Despite that, it might still be my favourite episode this series. The dialogue was great, the pacing was spot on, the action was exciting, the characters were interesting, and there were some great funny moments. It felt very Doctor Who-ish. Although Demons of the Punjab had a better ending, this episode as a whole was probably more enjoyable to watch.
