You do realize we have midwives who basically choose their patients? There is no shortage of people who want a midwife and they will just pick clients based on who they want and then drop them if a past client they liked comes along with a similar due date.

It is what it is. OP wanted a way to get a doctor. This is a way. It tells the clinic that you would be (hopefully) grateful and polite client and good to staff. That goes a long way. If you want drop the gift card and just drop off a handwritten personal note.

Or go ahead and drive out to Brooks or whatever for a doctor.
