Doctors/nurses of Reddit; What is the most obvious case of a patient 'faking it' you have ever seen?

Oh I have a great story about this!

A middle aged woman is brought in by her friend. The woman is having a 'seizure', however, if you know anything about a seizure this is clearly fake. To her credit she did quite a good job of ignoring stimulus. I did a hard sternal rub and squeezed the tip of her finger, and she had no response.

Out of 'concern' for her airway I inserted a laryngoscope blade into her throat to 'consider' inserting an endotracheal tube. You know that feeling when you take a sip of water and it goes down the wrong pipe? Now imagine that instead of a couple of drops of water it is the tip of a hard metal rod, and instead of them lightly touching the back of your throat it is pressed firmly in place.

Needless to say she 'stopped having her seizure' and started coughing and sputtering and asking why I stuck that in there in very short order. I was thrilled she made such an immediate recovery.
