Doctors urge conversations about dying from virus

Oh yes you’re right in that my mum has many underlying health problems but she’s told my brother and I about the will and all that jazz already as she is also mentally unwell and has strong suicidal tendencies now and then. She discusses her own mortality pretty much every time we speak. She’s not scared of coronavirus as she welcomes death as escape from the torture of life. Maybe I seem blasé in the way I’m describing this but she’s been this way my entire adult life so unfortunately I’m more than used to it - but of course love her unconditionally.

In my previous comment I was referring to my dad and stepmum, who are mentally and physically healthy. My dad had a minor heart incident years ago that required hospitalisation but he’s been absolutely fine ever since, unlikely that counts as underlying health condition. They’re in their 50’s so not in the at-risk group.

It’s my grandparents who are in their 80’s that I’m concerned about. But I have full confidence that if they stick to the isolation advice they’ll be fine. The hardest part is going to be not being able to see them face-to-face for months.
