Documenting the Modding of my Marvel Super Heroes

He had mentioned arcade graphix in his post but I do agree with you mostly on that. Not buying the parts turns out to be a lot of fun and a deep rabbit hole to do it yourself and you learn a lot.

For the mounts though I found those to personally be largely a ripoff in anecdotal experience. Mainly because I went to the dollar tree and found I could get a nice poster board that was of same quality as the cheap MDF used for the bezel, and the L brackets and screws I got were the same as (( undisclosed provider )) sold for $5 on Amazon with many times more of these things that I could use for other projects (cheap at local hardware store too). Yet I spent a good $80 on a mount kit lol (partially do to shipping which cant be blamed on the service provider as a small business).

Aside from that the mount itself would have been done much less annoyingly/more flexibly with a standard VESA table adjustment which costs $20 including shipping (also from Amazon), without a giant advertisement embossed on it whenever I look inside my cab.

But with that said I have to acknowledge that just like home arcades vs a Raspberry Pi and TV, it's a very different strokes for different folks thing and certain things I would even say (like bezel printing) are nice to have a specialized business do. For every cheap ass/hobbyist person like me there is another who doesn't value their time to spend on solving those sort of needs and it's a free country I guess.
