What he meant was that he didn't know that the first date was supposed to be romantic.. he didn't know you were expecting some kind of mysterious spark. Yeah.. he is accusing you satire. When he said maybe he should be more controlling or he is too nice and also when he said good luck he is being sarcastic because I am going to go out on a limb here and say that he got his feelings hurt by some probably immature girl in her early twenties who doesn't really know what she wants beyond "sparks" and "feelings". Beyond that I think its a bit unfair to post him on reddit for this though because his reaction was far and away more tame in my opinion than a lot of other posts that turn up here.
