Does anybody else feel like they're living an overall low quality of life?

Well most people aren't just given nice things like your friends. they have to work for it. I had nice things growing up since my parents had them, and now I have cheap stuff since I'm still young and still in the process of working and using my own money have nice things as well. I guess you can only focus on the nice things that you don't have if you've never had them in your life, but those things don't make much of a difference in happiness. Nice counters? Dimming lights? New appliances? so what? I go over to my mom's house and see all of things, and they're nice but who cares? It really does not matter. I only care if my stuff works and is clean. I'm not struggling though and can pay all of my bills and save each month.

I wanted to rant about because I really feel like I got a shit deal even though I'm supposedly living a "first world" life.

You didn't get a shit deal. That is literally just life and most americans work from the bottom up. Focusing on what other people have will just make you unhappy. Unless you use it as motivation, stop focusing on it. It's a waste of time and in the long run won't make much of a difference in your happiness unless you're a really materialistic person and gain self esteem from having nice things.
