I think a lot about growing up and having a girlfriend, but I guess I’ve never really thought about proposal. I’d probably buy something inlaid with a stone in her favorite color, or her birth month. It’d be nice to propose somewhere like an outdoor ice rink. Or a carnival at dusk. Idk.

I mostly think about the kind of house and future I want to have with her. An old, cozy little place with original wood flooring that’s coming apart. We’d paint all the walls white. And have the windows open as much as we could, so it would always smell nice. I’d play the cello in a room upstairs where it would project through the floor. We’d have a big sweetheart of a dog. We’d always be listening to music. There would be a lot of books, which I’d purchased secondhand. And I’d kiss and cuddle her every single goddamn chance I got, because life is too short not to.
